I. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 Sponsor sports as a way of advertising

Đề bài: Many companies today sponsor sports as a way of advertising themselves. Some people think this is a good thing for the world of sport. Others think this has disadvantages. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2:

Some people believe that sponsorship in sports, as a method of advertising, can have negative consequences, while others believe it is positive. I believe that negative consequences can arise from this trend, however it is up to the sporting teams and events to ensure the companies that sponsor them are moral and ethical and the products they sell do not have negative consequences on society.

Firstly, without sponsorship, many sporting competitions and events could not operate. Large sporting events, such as the FIFA World Cup or the Olympics, require millions of dollars to organise and coordinate, and sponsors provide a lot of this much needed money. If there were no sponsors, the price of a spectator ticket would be extremely high as this would be the only revenue to cover the costs of the event, and as a result, many people could not afford to attend, which may leave the event organisers facing bankruptcy.

On a smaller scale, many local children’s sporting events and teams rely on local businesses for sponsorship. For example, when I was young, a local business supplied my football team with jerseys and advertised their name and logo on the front of them. Without this sponsorship, my football club would not have been able to afford new football jerseys each year for the players.

However, there are some disadvantages which may occur when large sporting events use sponsorship from companies that produce products which have a negative impact on people and society, such as alcohol and tobacco companies. When young people are exposed to certain advertising, they can easily develop a positive association with those products and start to use them. Imagine how many young people could be influenced through watching the World Cup football competition.

In conclusion, sponsorship in sports can have both positive and negative outcomes, however it is up to the sporting teams and events to make sure that the sponsors they use will not have a negative influence on people and society.

II. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 Job early and keep doing & frequently change jobs

Đề bài: Some people think that people who choose a job early and keep doing it are more likely to get a satisfying career life than those who frequently change jobs. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2:

Opinion on career satisfaction is largely divided when it comes to whether or not people should choose a consistent profession. While the idea of changing occupations frequently is reasonable to some extent, I am more convinced by working for a job for the long term.

It is justifiable that experiencing several occupations offers people some fundamental merits. The opportunities for them to correct the mistakes when they make impulse decisions about their career developments may be effectively remedied. In other words, people who feel dissatisfied with their present job can step out of their comfort zone and continue to try another suitable one, by doing so they will obtain more work experience in severe domains and improve different skill sets. Therefore, many of them could become more confident when being given important tasks if they are equipped thoroughly with a multitude of work-related experiences. In addition, switching jobs regularly also assists them in choosing which occupations they have a true passion for. To put it more simply, many students now may not secure that their options to choose which career they want to pursue are satisfying. As a result, the span of being involved in many companies may encourage them a lot in the future life and help them realise their passion.

Despite the aforementioned ideas, I am of the opinion that working consistently in one profession provides them with more overwhelming benefits. A sense of greater job satisfaction becomes more evident. That is to say, changing work environments frequently may impede people from ascending the career ladder, also working in an unchanged environment offers them harmony amongst colleagues and more career prospects alike. Moreover, following their career path for a long period of time enhances their appearance of personal curriculum vitae, which shows a potential employer ability employer's ability to adapt to new cases, and their level of task experience.

In conclusion, while it can be beneficial to switch severe jobs, I believe selecting a job and staying with it tends to bring more satisfaction for employees.

III. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 Robots and Jobs

Đề bài: As machines have become more sophisticated, more and more jobs and tasks involving physical hard work can be done automatically. Do the positive effects of this trend outweigh the negative effects?

Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2:

There has been growing concern in recent years related to the number of positions robots now occupy in the workforce. In my opinion, though this has clear disadvantages for the average worker, it is a positive overall.

Those who decry this trend towards automation point out its impact on unskilled labourers. The most affected live in poorer, predominately rural areas rather than cities where there are more white collar workers. For example, in the United States in the primarily agrarian economies of the Midwest, the number of jobs for farmers and factory workers has been in steep decline. The result is either than many families now struggle to make ends meet and are embittered towards the current economic model or they leave their homes to earn subsistence wages in the city. This migrations brings its own negatives as cities become overcrowded and the consumer class in the countryside dwindles.

Nonetheless, the forward progress of technology is a positive sign for the future. There is little doubt that the transitional period will be rife with unrest among working class people; however, this will be more than compensated for by future generations. In the future, workers will be free to pursue their passions rather than having to toil in manual jobs better done by robots. This could lead to a concomitant rise in the number of scientists, artists, researchers, artisans, and other skilled positions. There is even consideration these days of a universal basic wage that would sever individuals from the necessity of work and open up a range of leisure options for the average citizen.

In conclusion, though the dominance of robotic technologies has short-term downsides, it will ultimately lead to a flourishing of human creativity and innovation. It is therefore important for governments to capably manage this transition.

IV. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 Advertisements

Đề bài: Advertisements are becoming more and more common in our everyday life. Is it a positive or negative development?

Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2:

Advertising is gaining more popularity in the marketing of products or services. While advertisements are considered to be advantageous, they can have numerous negative influences.

It is unquestionable that there are several benefits of advertising. By dint of the large-scale expansion of advertising in almost every kind of mass media and nearly all hoardings, this sector is likely to generate a diversity of employment opportunities. In other words, it provides occupations for artists, painters or copywriters in designing and preparing logos, contents or ideas for advertisements. Another advantage is that advertising may enable the messages involved in products and services to reach potential customers, followed by an increase in sales for businesses. Additionally, only thanks to advertisements, can customers be kept informed about newly-launched products. Therefore, they have more choices to make about their beloved products, contributing to the enhancement of their comforts and standard of living.

However, advertising could cause several disadvantages for customers. No sooner might companies or business exaggerate or even distort the facts related to their products for commercial purposes than the customers can experience feelings of confusion about these items, making them have troubles  selecting the products to their taste. Furthermore, the facts show that the more advertising expenses increase, the higher the product price is. The reason can be that the selling price of the advertised items covers the high cost of advertisements. As a result, the advertised products can cost more than they should. Finally, when customers cannot resist the temptation of products which are advertised beyond customers’ expectations, there is every likelihood of them purchasing products which may be unnecessary. This trend could be seen as a waste of money.

In conclusion, based on the aforementioned explanations, individuals may gain both considerable benefits and drawbacks through the growing prevalence of advertisements.

V. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 Large companies use sports events to promote their products

Đề bài: Large companies use sports events to promote their products. Some people think this has a negative impact on sports. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2:

In recent years, numerous companies have seized the opportunity to leverage popular sports events as platforms to promote their products. While some argue that this practice contributes positively to the world of sports, others contend that it has detrimental effects. This essay will explore both perspectives and present my view that while sponsorship can provide benefits, the over-commercialization and branding associated with such promotions can have negative consequences.

On the one hand, the involvement of companies in sponsoring sports events brings substantial financial support, which can enhance the quality of sports competitions, facilities, and training programs. For instance, major corporations sponsoring the Olympics or the FIFA World Cup provide significant funds that contribute to the success of these events, facilitating infrastructure development and ensuring the participation of athletes from various nations. Furthermore, corporate partnerships can increase the global reach of sports, making them more accessible and engaging to a broader audience.

On the other hand, the intense commercialization and branding that often accompany such sponsorships can undermine the essence of sports, turning them into profit-driven enterprises rather than celebrations of skill and athleticism. This can lead to an undue emphasis on commercial interests, with events becoming overshadowed by advertising campaigns and product endorsements. Additionally, excessive branding can create a disconnect between athletes and fans, as the focus shifts from sportsmanship to marketing strategies.

In conclusion, the relationship between companies and sports events is multifaceted. While sponsorship can infuse financial support and global exposure into sports, the risk of over-commercialization and branding should not be overlooked. Perhaps a regulated approach that limits the extent of branding and emphasizes the purity of sportsmanship would be an ideal solution in this context.
