Today I’m gonna be talking about a meal that I especially enjoyed when dining out in my favorite local restaurant around 2 years ago. If my memory serves me correctly, it was my dad’s birthday party and he chose Hanabi, my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant, as the location for his birthday’s celebration. Hanabi restaurant is one of the top-notch restaurants that provide customers with some of the most sophisticated fish dishes that you would hardly find elsewhere. Moreover, since it is located in the very central part of our city, with an imposing view to the river, the price is often much higher compared to other 5-star restaurants in town. So basically I was very surprised when my dad decided to hold his evening birthday party there.
And I have to say that eating out at that restaurant was definitely worth every single buck we paid. Both the foods and drinks there were absolutely amazing. I still remember that particular kind of salmon and tuna salad dish. It might have looked a bit messy on the presentation but was a blast of flavors that completely blew me away. And after my very first taste, it felt as if I was having fun at a summer beach party. The flavor was just plain awesome. What I even enjoyed much more about the meal was the way all the chefs told the stories behind every dish. There was also a middle school choir performing a medley of famous love songs, which I thought was so cute. You know it was so hard to describe that experience in words, but everyone, including my dad, did thoroughly enjoy the party from the very beginning until the last minute. You know people very often complain about how some of us wouldn’t mind splurging on just a single meal. I think what we really pay for is not just the food itself, but rather for the whole experience. And I think in this case I’ll definitely continue to revisit Hanabi restaurant sometime really soon in the future.
